Robert Tarran, PhD

Rob Tarran is a Professor in UNC’s Department of Cell Biology and Physiology and is also a member of UNC’s Lineberger Cancer Center and Marsico Lung Institute. Rob has over 20 years of experience in studying airway disease and is particularly interested in the role of ion channels in disease pathogenesis. Rob has focused on studying the interaction between the lung and the environment in both healthy and diseased states, including asthma, cystic fibrosis and COPD. Rob is now a serial entrepreneur and Eldec is his second company.
