Biography
Lonny Yarmus, DO, MBA FCCP, ATSF, is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Oncology and Clinical Chief of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He also serves as the Director of the Center for Interventional Pulmonary Research at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Yarmus is an interventional pulmonologist, specializing in screening and the minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, malignant pleural effusions, and complex airways disorders. He is an expert bronchoscopist with expertise in device development, regulatory approval and clinical trial strategics. Dr. Yarmus holds an MBA from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business school with specific concentrations in health care management and device development. He has an active clinical and translational laboratory specializing in lung cancer with over 150 publications in the field. In addition, Dr. Yarmus has a specialized research and strategic interest in the development of minimally invasive devices and hold patents through the Johns Hopkins University technology transfer offices.
