Biography
Eric S. White, MD, MS is Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School. He is the Director of Translational Interstitial Lung Disease Research at University of Michigan. Dr. White’s clinical focus is on patients with interstitial lung diseases, such as IPF, sarcoidosis, and connective tissue disease-associated interstitial lung disease. He studies extracellular matrix and fibroblast biology and the basic underpinnings of fibrotic lung disease, as well as biomarkers of disease diagnosis and prognosis in fibrosing interstitial lung diseases. Dr. White currently serves as Principal Investigator or Co-investigator on numerous industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials in patients with interstitial lung diseases.
