David Joseph

David S. Joseph, his career spans forty years of highly successful hospital management and entrepreneurship as a founder of five companies involved in surgical lasers, orthopedic biomaterials, medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Former co-founder, president and chairman Orthovita an orthopedics bio materials company and initiated a public offer and subsequently acquired by Stryker Corporation. He co-founded two medical device companies, Surgical Laser Technologies, Inc. also a public company in and Site Microsurgical Systems, an ophthalmic microsurgical company acquired by Johnson & Johnson and Othera Pharmaceuticals, a private ophthalmic pharmaceutical company. His earlier career included executive director positions in four hospitals beginning including the Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. He currently servers on three medical device companies and has served in the past biomedical companies.
