Dr. Van Goor is a research and development leader with expertise in protein folding and ion channel function as applied to discovery and development of breakthrough therapeutics for cystic fibrosis. He has a strong background in applying biological approaches (assay development, screening, molecular biology, and pharmacology) to drug discovery and advancing successful compounds from lab to clinic to commercialization.
Dr. Van Goor has discovered novel drugs which target the underlying molecular defect of cystic fibrosis and participated in advancing cystic fibrosis drug from initial research through clinical trial evaluation to FDA approval and market.
